I need to find 2 works of art that have been inspired by a historical event. The work of art can be a painting, book ,sculpture, etc and must have written professional criticism about it.
This is for a research paper so please help.
So 2 analyzed art works that have been influenced by history?
I am currently working on my latest sketchbook, filling it up etc. I’m a Sophmore in a technical high school for Commercial Art and I’m starting to think about art college etc. I already have a portfolio started, but my technical teacher mentioned something about sketchbooks. What really impresses art colleges in a sketchbook? What sort of drawings really impress?
I’m looking for actual input. Themes, mediums, etc. I realize that art schools are looking for talent and creativity.
Ok, this is my last question regarding renaissance art.
How much did art evolve DURING the renaissance period?
For instance, was art work from the beginning of the renaissance any different to that of the end of the renaissance.
Links please.

Are there conditions such that any work of art (of that kind) that meets them will be a good one, and any work of art that does not meet them is not a good one? Why or why not? If you think there are such conditions, what do you think they are? Why? Are the conditions different for each of the different kinds of art forms, or are there some criteria common to all good works of art, no matter what kind of art they are?

So, I hear that you should take art classes because you need to be a good artist. What kind of art classes would be the best to take?Should I take basic art classes in drawing, or are there more specialized art classes that will help me succeed in tattooing? Thanks for any help!
